Philippi

Paul followed the Egnatian way from Neapolis to Philippi, which was a Roman colony and a leading city in Macedonia. There he remained for some time.

Context: Philippi was a Roman colony that was located on the Egnatian Way, which was the primary road across Macedonia. A cosmopolitan city, Philippi  blended Greek and Latin traditions. To see the sights in Philippi click here.
