In Jerusalem Paul met with Christian leaders. He then went to the temple. Some Jews objected, assuming that Paul had brought non-Jews into the temple, which was contrary to Jewish law.


Context: Jerusalem was the center of Jewish life. The tall white building in the center of the picture above is the holiest part of the temple. Around it is a compound that only Jews could enter. The plaza around the compound was open to all people. The Antonia fortress with its four large towers is to the right of the temple. The fortress was the main Roman military installation in the city.
