Jupiter was supreme god, 
the symbol of political power.

The goddess Juno was linked to fertility, military success, and civic welfare.

Rome: Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva were the deities associated with the Capitol in Rome. Other deities included Vesta, the protector of the city, and Mars the god of war. The emperor was the high priest of the Romans. Four primary groups of priests oversaw public worship life, which included sacrifices and prayers. Folk religion honored spirit beings known as lares, who were the guardians of hearth and home.

Minerva was the goddess of handicrafts.
