Biographical notes:       Meet Diane Shallue  
       Diane Shallue received her undergraduate degree in 1971 from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, majoring in Elementary Education.   She later studied at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and in 1993 received a Master's in the the field of Pastoral Theology and Ministry.  She was also commissioned as an Associate in Ministry in the ELCA in September 1993.  In December 2002, she received the Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership through the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.  Her dissertation title is "Staging the Role of Elder: A Case Study of an Intergenerational Day Care."  She was selected as the 2005 LACE (Lutheran Association of Christian Educators) Christian Educator of the Year.  She was elected president of the Lutheran Association of Christian Educators (LACE) in January 2009.  See the web site www.faithfulteaching.org  for more information about LACE.
