The financial aid process typically begins after a student is admitted to a degree program.  The application and process will be made available the first week of January each year.

For most students there will only be two steps in applying:

  1. Luther Seminary Financial Aid Application
  2. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

		Luther Seminary Financial Aid Form The Luther Seminary Financial Aid Application is now available in our Financial Aid On-line Portal.  Once you log in you can click on "Apply Online" to access the application. 		Federal Application (FAFSA) In order to be eligible for any of the Luther Seminary's student loan programs you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Even if you think you will not be needing student loans to finance your seminary education we would still encourage you to complete the application. Luther Seminary provides many tools for online access to resources.  When you log in to campus computers, 75MB of network space is available to you in your "My Documents" folder.  This data is backed up daily and is available anywhere you log in on campus.

		Get Connected to the Internet   Questions? helpdesk@luthersem.edu 651-641-3462 You have several options for connecting to the internet from on-campus.  All on-campus student housing provides ethernet (wired) internet connections.  This is 20 times faster than a modem! Wireless connections are also available in all classrooms and public spaces on campus. We also offer dail-up access for $60/year for off-campus students. We strongly recommend that you explore a broadband internet service if at all possible.  Your learning experience will be much more satisfying and efficient. SNAP (Student Network Access Portal) allows you to access these files from any computer connected to the web, including your home computer. Web link: more info
		Explore HomeLab   Questions? helpdesk@luthersem.edu (651) 641-3462 Homelab is an optional tool well-suited for students who commute, take online courses or study from a distance. It acts like a "virtual" campus lab computer, giving you access to your personal network home drive, personalized desktop, campus library resources and BibleWorks Bible study software. You must request a HomeLab account directly from Computer Services.  It will not be automatically set up for you. Web link: more info
		Get a USB Flash Drive   Questions? helpdesk@luthersem.edu 651-641-3462 If you want to save your computer files to take with you, you'll need a USB Flash Drive (sometimes called a thumb drive.) Our campus computers no longer have floppy drives. The preferred way of saving data is first to your network H: drive and if you want to save a copy to take with you, you will need a USB flash drive. Spyware is software that is secretly installed on your computer and that monitors use of the computer in some way without your knowledge or consent.  Spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers.
