Financial Aid Exit Counseling Session
All graduating seniors who borrowed federal loans (including Perkins and Mourer) while attending Luther Seminary must attend an exit counseling session.

Pick up your gown at the Registrar's Office after your holds are cleared.
Wednesday, May 16 or Thursday, May 17 during regular office hours:
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon; 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you are unable to pick up your own gown, you must arrange for a friend to pick up your gown and let the Registrar's Office know who will be picking it up for you.
One free voucher for parking at Central Lutheran Church will be given to you when you pick up your gown.

Class of 2011 Picnic - Saturday, May 28, 2011
Everyone is welcome to join the seniors and their guests for a celebration to remember on the campus of Luther Seminary. Rain or shine we're taking the celebration outside. We will enjoy a picnic lunch under a tent in the parking lot near Gullixson Hall. Campus tours follow and then we regather at 2:30pm for the senior class picture on the front steps of Bockman Hall. The Worship Service with Holy Communion begins at 3:00 in a tent on the lawn in front of Bockman Hall.
When: Saturday, May 28, 2011
12-1:30pm Picnic lunch. Vegetarian options are available.
12:30-2:30pm Campus tours
2:30pm Senior Class photo (steps of Bockman Hall)
3:00pm Worship Service with Holy Communion
Cost: The meal is free to everyone. It would be helpful to know how many plan to attend the meal. Email stndsrv@luthersem.edu with the total number in your party.

The information you provide will be used to write a news release announcing your graduation from Luther Seminary. The release will then be sent to your hometown newspaper and congregation, college or university alumni publications, and your assigned synod.

When you graduate and become an alumni/ae, you can take advantage of many free lifetime services from Luther Seminary. These include Alumni/ae Lifetime E-mail service and instant messaging.

Get Your Free Commencement Invitations and Let Us Mail Them
Students can begin picking up their free invitations starting April 5 in Seminary Relations office in NW130. You can get 25 each from April 5-April 13 and after that you are allowed as many as they would like while supplies last.
Address them and drop them back off at NW130 and we'll add postage and mail them for you!
If you are on off-campus student, you can order some by emailing semrel@luthersem.edu and invitations will be mailed to you free of charge.

Two courses (including all outstanding incompletes, but excluding the M.A. Thesis/Writing Project) is the MAXIMUM number of courses a student may have to complete in the summer and still participate in graduation.
Summer graduates must complete summer registration by Monday, April 30, 2012.

Account clearances at Business Office and Library
All accounts must be cleared for graduating students in order to receive a diploma and academic gown!!
Return the completed form to the Registrar's Office by:
Spring Candidates - Friday, May 4, 2012
Summer Candidates - your account clearance form will be held at the Office of the Registrar and should be completed during summer.
All graduating students (even if you know you have nothing outstanding!) must pick up the account clearance form at the Registrar's Office and take it to the Business Office. If there is a balance on your account, it must be cleared. At the Library, all books must be returned and fines paid. Each office listed must sign the account clearance form. Return the form to the Office of the Registrar by the dates listed above.
This must be completed before you attempt to pick up your academic gown.
Please indicate a forwarding address on the account clearance form.

In Absentia Requests
Attendance at commencement is expected. Graduating students not intending to attend are to file a request for "In Absentia" with the Registrar's Office.
