We begin the class by reading passages in the letters of Paul and Acts that will give us an idea of who this fellow was who became the most famous Christian missionary of the first century. Here's our schedule.

Module One Handouts

  On this page, you can see a timeline of events in Paul's life, as well as when he may have written his letters. (These dates are guesses, but not wild guesses.)
  Use this page to format your papers and final projects.
  It is what it sounds like: quick and dirty summaries of the letters so you can begin to differentiate them from each other.
  Paul has given Christians lots of favorite passages. Here's a list of some of them. You need to remember the book each of these is in for an exam that you may take anytime between Oct 1 and Nov 12. (This exam counts as part of the Module One exam, but you can take this part of it at a later time than the end of Module One.)
