Athens Agora

Athens: Acts 17:17-18 says that Paul spoke at the agora or marketplace every day with those who happened to be there. Some Epicurean and Stoic philosophers debated with him. Some thought Paul was babbling nonsense and others thought that he was proclaiming new divinities called "Jesus" and "Resurrection."

The building on the right is the two-tiered Stoa of Attalus.
